Who we are

MotoPasso (“we”, “us”) publishes scenic motorcycle touring guides for Italy at motopasso.com. MotoPasso is operated by HugeDataFarm, the data controller for this website. Questions: jperagino@gmail.com.

What we collect

MotoPasso is a static informational website. We do not run user accounts, contact forms, newsletters, or first-party analytics, and we do not sell data. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser/user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure, used solely to operate and secure the site. We set no first-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Maps

Tour maps are served from our own server using an offline map dataset. Map fonts and icons are loaded from a third-party asset host (protomaps.github.io); your browser’s request to that host exposes your IP address to it, as with any embedded web resource.

Affiliate links

Some outbound “where to stay” links point to Booking.com via the Travelpayouts affiliate network. If you click one, Booking.com and Travelpayouts may set their own cookies on their domains to attribute the referral and any resulting booking. We receive only aggregate commission reporting — not your personal booking details. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Cookie Policy.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Server logs: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f)). Third-party affiliate/asset cookies are governed by those third parties’ own policies.

International transfers

Booking.com, Travelpayouts, and the map asset host may process data outside the EU/EEA under their own safeguards.

Retention

Access logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics, then deleted or rotated by the host.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or object to processing of any personal data we hold about you, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Contact jperagino@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16.
